Cookie Cutters

Hay gente que colecciona sellos. Hay gente que colecciona monedas. Hay gente que colecciona figuras. Hay aficiones para todo.

Casi se podría decir que yo colecciono cookie cutters - cortadores de galletas. Por curiosidad me he dedicado a contarlos, y en estos momentos tengo 327. No sabía que tenía tantos!

Descubrí que la mejor manera de guardarlos era en estas cajas transparentes que me permten tener dos pisos de cutters ordenados por temáticas y así puedo encontrarlos más fácilmente... sino es una locura!

En estos momentos tengo 7 cajas organizadas por las siguientes temáticas:

• ABC & 123 (letras y números)
• Formas básicas: redondas, estrellas, corazones, rectangulos,...
• Naturaleza: Plantas & Animales & Clima
• Objetos & Cuentos: aviones, castillos, zapatos, vestido
• Fiestas: Navidad, Pasqua,... & Stamps
• Press molds (cortadores para estampar)
• Cortadores Jumbo

Mi intención es compartir con vosotros mis cutters y las galletas que hago con ellos. Serán sólo algunas de las posibilidades que cada uno de ellos ofrece... porque aunque las formas sean sencillas, nos permiten ser todo lo creativos que queramos.

Holidays & Stamps

Some people collect stamps. Some people collect coins. Some people collect figurines. There is something for everyone.

In a way you could say I collect cookie cutters. Out of curiosity I’ve decided to count them, right now I have 327. I had no idea I had so many!
I discovered that the best way to organize them were in these transparent plastic boxes that allow me to have two layers of cutters (one on top of the other). This way I can have them organized by themes and find them more easily (without opening them I can see what is inside)… if not I would definitely go crazy!

Right now I have 7 boxes:

• ABC & 123
• Basic shapes: circles, stars, hearts, rectangles,...
• Nature: Plants & Animals & Weather
• Objects & Stories: planes, castles, shoes, dresses, princesses, pirates,…
• Holidays: Christmas, Easter, & Stamps
• Press molds
• Jumbo cutters

In my posts I'll share with you my cutter collection and the cookies that I make with them. This way you’ll be able to see just a few of the infinite possibilities that each one offers… because even the most simple shape can allow us to be the most creative we can be.
